Could the delay to the Galaxy S26 series’ One UI 9 rollout spare the US? That’s what Tarun Vats is suggesting on X. According to the tipster, the stable update could reach the series in the US on September 23, at least for T-Mobile users.

For those who haven’t kept up, Samsung Thailand said last week that the Galaxy S26 series would get the stable update outside Korea on September 21. That didn’t happen. It then changed the date to September 28 before removing it altogether.

Right now, Samsung Thailand simply says the update will roll out within September, which actually leaves open the possibility of some markets, including the US, getting it well before September 28.

Interestingly, Samsung Thailand had also listed September 28 as the rollout date for the Galaxy S25 series, Z Fold 7, and Flip 7 before removing it. Could these 2025 flagships get the update earlier, too?

Well, one can hope, though we’d suggest keeping your expectations low. If you own a Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, or S25-series phone, be prepared for the possibility of waiting until October. And frankly, we wouldn’t rule out an October rollout for the S26 series in some markets, either.
