Samsung released the stable version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17) for the Galaxy S26 series on September 16, 2026. However, the brand has so far made the update available only in its home country, South Korea.

While the company didn’t reveal when it would begin the global rollout, the tech giant announced that it would release the update in Thailand on September 21, suggesting that the date could mark the start of the rollout outside its home market.

However, September 21 came and went, and Samsung didn’t release the stable version of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 series in Thailand—or anywhere else.

Shortly after missing the date, it pushed the rollout back by a week, changing the release date to September 28. If that wasn’t already disappointing enough for Galaxy S26 users, the company has now backtracked on the revised date and doesn’t seem sure when it will release the update.

Samsung Thailand’s press release about the stable One UI 9.0 rollout no longer mentions September 28 as the release date for the Galaxy S26 series. Instead, it now only mentions September as the release month. This suggests that Samsung may no longer be certain that it can release the update on September 28.

Fortunately, the press release still states that the update will arrive in September. In the worst-case scenario, the company could release stable One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 on September 30, 2026, two days after the revised release date.

That is, of course, assuming the tech giant doesn’t change the release window yet again.
