There are a lot of phones within Samsung's lineup that can put up great competition for the “best-selling phone” title. The Galaxy A1x series has performed consistently well over the years, offering customers a very cost-effective 5G device.
However, the other device that customers in the US just can't get enough of is at the opposite end of the spectrum. A new research report revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra recently topped out as the best-selling Android phone in the US.
Counterpoint Research has recently shared data on the best-selling smartphones for the month of March, 2025. The data shows that the Galaxy S25 Ultra was the best-selling Android phone in the US during the aforementioned month, accounting for 8% of all sales during the month. The first three spots on the list were unsurprisingly taken by the iPhones.
Rather unsurprisingly, the Galaxy A16 5G rounded out the top 5 list as it took the final position, also accounting for an 8% of share in the total smartphone sales figure in the United States for the month of March 2025.
It's a different story in China, though, where Apple took the first two spots with iPhones, and the third went to the Huawei Nova 13. Apple was again in fourth place with the iPhone 16 followed by Oppo in fifth.
Samsung isn't even on the list for China which is hardly surprising, given that the company's market share in the People's Republic is less than 1%, and shows no signs of recovering any time soon.
