The One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A34 has been out in Korea for over a week. A few days after its Korean debut, the same update ending in firmware version DYE7 rolled out in Europe.
Everything seemed fine for a while, and the One UI 7 update even introduced GPUWatch and the Vulkan graphics API to the Galaxy A34. But today, things took an unexpected turn. Samsung appears to have pulled the update from its servers.
Samsung Korea Community member SoPro (via @ya_sking12767) posted a screenshot earlier today, revealing that Samsung has taken down the DYE7 One UI 7 build for the Galaxy A34. It is now marked as a test firmware build and is no longer available for download OTA.
The same appears true not only for the Galaxy A34 in Korea (SM-A346N) but also in Europe and other markets (SM-A346B and SM-A346E). Samsung also seems to have halted the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A34 offered by South Korea's three major mobile networks: SK Telekom, KT, and LG Uplus.
Samsung hasn't provided an explanation as to why it seemingly pulled the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A34. But as many of you know, this isn't the first time Samsung stopped the One UI 7 update since its original debut on the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year.
The company will most likely address whatever is wrong with the DYE7 build and eventually resume the rollout for the Galaxy A34. Exactly when that might happen remains to be determined. For the Galaxy S24 series, it took a few days for the One UI 7 rollout to resume once it got pulled a couple of months ago. We'll keep you posted.
