If you were to ask someone what South Korea is best known for, they'd probably say Samsung and Kpop. The company finds a natural synergy with the cultural behemoth that is Kpop, so it routinely collaborates with established and rising acts to promote its products through them.
The latest collaboration puts almost Samsung's entire latest gadget lineup in the premiere video for Odyssey, the first full length album of the Kpop group Rise.
Rise is backed by SM Entertainment and it has gradually been finding global appeal with its songs. The company also recently added a dedicated SMTOWN channel to Samsung TV Plus, bringing endless amounts of content to users of its free TV streaming service.
Rise's Odyssey album was released just yesterday. The premiere video saw many of Samsung's latest products being promoted, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Ring, Music Frame, and even its AI refrigerators. Related content will also be uploaded across social media later this week which will have Rise members directly promoting the various features of Galaxy AI.
This latest marketing effort is part of Samsung's plan to support the growth of Kpop artists that spread South Korea's cultural influence across the globe. Samsung has similarly collaborated with some of the biggest names in Kpop over the years.
From major collaborations with Kpop super band BTS and Blackpink to rising stars like TXT and Felix Lee, Samsung wants its influence to be seen wherever Kpop finds ground in the world.
