In 2022, Samsung Display introduced QD-OLED panels for monitors. Since then, many brands have used them for their gaming monitors. Now, the South Korean tech giant’s QD-OLED panel has made its way into a professional monitor.
Acer has launched the ProCreator PE320QK X professional monitor. It uses Samsung Display’s QD-OLED panel, making it one of the very few professional monitors with OLED displays on the market. Let's take a look at its features and price.
The panel has a 31.5-inch size, 4K resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible support, and 0.1ms grey-to-grey response time. The brand claims that it has a 400 nits peak brightness with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, and the 10-bit panel also covers 99% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts.
As for connectivity, it has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1 port, a USB Type-C port with 90W Power Delivery (and DP Alt Mode), two USB Type-A 3.2 ports, one USB Type-B 3.2 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also has two 5W speakers. Its ErgoStand offers height, swivel, and tilt adjustments. Unfortunately, there's no pivot adjustment.
Acer has priced the ProCreator PE320QK X at EUR 1,399 (~$1,581) in Europe and CNY 8,999 (~$1,249) in China. The brand will make the monitor available in Q3 2025. If you don’t want to wait for it for that long, you can take a look at Samsung’s recently launched Odyssey OLED G8, which offers a similar set of features and is readily available to purchase.
