In April 2025, Samsung launched the Color E-Paper EM32DX digital signage. It uses the e-paper technology to display content, which consumes much lower power compared to traditional digital signages or TVs, as low as 0.05W, making it great for businesses from a profit point of view and the environment. Initially, the brand had made it available only in Germany. Well, it looks like the company has now launched it globally.
Samsung has issued a press release on its Newsroom for global markets saying that it has launched the Color E-Paper EM32DX. It suggests that the brand has launched the product for international markets. Unfortunately, the South Korean tech giant hasn’t announced availability details. It also didn’t reveal the digital signage’s price, but usually, brands don’t publicly announce prices of their products aimed at selling to businesses.
The Samsung Color E-Paper EM32DX has a 32-inch color e-paper display with a QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) resolution. It uses “advanced digital ink technology” and “advanced color imaging algorithm to optimize color accuracy and readability. According to the brand, ”This optimization softens the edges of the image while creating smoother and more vibrant colors for an eye-catching display resembling traditional paper posters and retail promotional stands.”
It has a 4,600mAh battery. Using that, the digital signage, which consumes only 0.05W of power, can last 200 days on a single charge. It has 8GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port, and can be controlled using the Samsung E-Paper app, which is available for Android and iOS. It supports Samsung VXT to allow businesses to create content and manage it remotely, and the Tizen Enterprise Platform, allowing businesses to integrate it into their own management systems.
