Today, Samsung announced the One UI 8 Watch update for Galaxy Watches. It is based on Wear OS 6.0 and will debut with the Galaxy Watch 8 series next month. However, before its stable version is released, Samsung will open the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program in select countries and for older compatible Galaxy Watches.
Samsung has revealed that it plans to open the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program before the end of this month. The company will releases it to Galaxy Watch 5 and newer models.
If you have a compatible Galaxy Watch and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can enroll your smartwatch into the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program by installing the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy phone that is paired with the smartwatch, logging into it using the same Samsung Account that is signed into the smartwatch, and tapping the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program banner on the home screen of the Samsung Members app.
Once the enrollment is done and the One UI 8 Watch beta update is released, you can open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone and navigate to Watch settings » Watch software update and tap Download and install. Once the downloading process is finished, tap the Install now button.
The update brings several new health features, including Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load, to compatible Galaxy Watches. However, not all these features will be available on all One UI 8 Watch-compatible devices.
