The Galaxy S21 FE is now getting the feature-rich One UI 7 update in the USA more widely. Samsung had released the update in other regions, including Asia and Europe, around three weeks ago, and to some variants of the phone in the USA a a couple of weeks ago.

The Galaxy S21 is now getting the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in the USA. The update comes with firmware version G990USQSGHYE5 for the carrier-locked units. For factory-unlocked units of the phone, the update comes with firmware version G990U1UESGHYE5 or G990U2SQSEHYE5, depending on the model. It has a download size of around 3GB and includes the May 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure.
If you have a Galaxy S21 FE and live in the USA, you should now check for the new update on your device. To do that, you need to navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the new update is downloaded completely, tap the Install now button. The phone will then restart after a few minutes once the installation process is completed.
The Galaxy S21 FE was launched in 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The phone received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. Samsung promised to release four major Android OS and One UI updates to the device, and it has released three of those updates. The phone will get the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update before the end of this year.
