Since Samsung launched its first book-style foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold, the brand has been offering W variants of its foldables for the Chinese market. These models are typically more premium versions of their Galaxy Z Fold counterparts. Now, the company appears to be following the same strategy with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Popular tipster Ice Universe has shared an image of a smartphone on X that they claim is the Samsung W27. The device is expected to be a more premium version of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra for China and a successor to the Galaxy W26, which was based on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. You can check out the image below.

As you can see, the alleged W27 features a blue finish with golden accents. Its camera island also appears to have a gold finish. Although there is no information about its features and specifications yet, the device will likely offer the same hardware as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, following Samsung's approach with previous models in the W lineup.
Samsung hasn't revealed when it plans to launch the W27. Typically, the brand launches its W models three to four months after introducing a new Galaxy Z Fold series smartphone. Given this pattern and the fact that Samsung launched the W26 in October, the W27 could arrive soon.
