Since Samsung debuted One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) by opening its beta program to the Galaxy S25 series, the brand has offered its beta version to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. A few moments ago, we learned that the brand may expand it to the Galaxy S24 series. Now, it looks like the company may open the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 as well.
Firmware files for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with One UI 8.5 have been spotted on Samsung’s server (via Tarun Vats). The firmware for the former carries version F956BXXU3ZZCB, and that for the latter carries firmware version F741BXXU3ZZCB. It suggests that the brand may expand the One UI 8.5 beta program for the two devices, and may do it very soon.
One UI 8.5 brings a new user interface that looks more organised and more modern. It is also more customisable. The new software brings new features as well, making the phone more convenient and fun to use. You can check out the complete list of changes it brings here.
If Samsung opens the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it may go on for a few weeks before the brand releases its stable version. So, the stable update is at least a month or two away. The company may then expand it to older devices.
