Last month, Samsung launched its new set of flagship smartphones with foldable displays, which has two devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The former was put through two durability tests, and it passed both of them with flying colors. Well, the latter too was tested for durability and it too has stood up to high expectations.

Popular YouTuber, JerryRigEverything, has posted a video testing the durability of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which you can check out below. He scratched, burned, tried to bend the phone, and covered it in dust, and Samsung’s latest clamshell foldable phone survived it all, proving that it not only looks great and has a fantastic hardware, but is also rugged.

In the video, Zack points out the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s external display scratches at level six with deeper groves showing up at level seven. It also withstood a butane flame for around twenty seconds. The inner display, unfortunately, isn’t as durable. It can get scratched at level two, which means that even your nail can scratch the screen, and can’t withstand a butane flame for as long but the latter isn’t revenant because most of us don’t go about lighting the display on fire. That being said, despite folding the display with a lot of dust, it kept working fine. Speaking of which, the hinge also kept working properly despite covering it with a lot of dust.

The YouTuber also points out that the rings on the phone’s rear cameras don’t come off when pulled with a sharp object, as they do on the Galaxy S25 series. However, the most interesting part of the video starts at 07:47 mark, where Zack tries to bend the device backwards. Despite applying a high amount of force, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 doesn’t break. If the Galaxy Z Flip 7 can withstand these things, it can certainly withstand the day-to-day torture we put our smartphones through.
