Last week, Samsung released the fourth beta version of Android 16-based One UI 8.0 to the Galaxy S25 series. It brought new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements. However, as people are exploring it, they are finding new features that weren’t mentioned in the change log, and one of them is a slight redesign to widgets.
Galaxy S25’s One UI 8 Beta 4 offers bigger and bolder font for widgets, making information displayed by them appear more clearer, as you can see in the screenshot below (via Tarun Vats). Unfortunately, a few people have been experiencing issues with it where the font is not aligned properly in the widget, making it look out of place.
In some cases, the font isn’t visible at all. Hopefully, Samsung will fix the issue with the next beta or stable version of One UI 8. Speaking of which, there’s still no information about when that may happen.
Even though One UI 8 isn’t as big of an update as One UI 7, it still offers a ton of upgrades for camera, productivity, multitasking, health tracking, communication, security and privacy, and accessibility.
