Samsung is rolling out a new beta version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in India. Carrying firmware version ZZAN, this is the fourth beta version of the software in the country, and if released in other countries, it will be the fifth beta version of the software globally (via Tarun Vats).

The update is 553.08MB in size, and according to the changelog, it brings only one change: “Applied Bixby version update.” To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Typically, Samsung does not release a beta update with such a small file size and so few changes. It suggests that the brand has released this update to fix something critical, something that couldn't wait till the next major beta update. However, that's just our speculation.
Samsung is expected to debut the stable version of One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series, which is set to launch on February 25, 2026. Once that happens, the brand is expected to release it to all the eligible devices. You can check out what else Samsung is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 in our video below.
