Now, on Reddit, a user reports that their Galaxy A53 5G for India (SM-A536E) has received the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. They have also posted a screenshot of the update. However, they have hidden the firmware’s version number and size.
As you can see, the update also packs the May 2025 security patch, which fixes security issues mentioned here. Samsung sells the Galaxy A53 5G’s international variant in India. Considering that, we are assuming that the update is live in other countries as well. To check for it, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 offers many new features. After installing it, the first thing you will notice is a new user interface with redesigned icons and split view for notifications and quick settings toggles. As you start using the device, you will also realise that it offers smoother animations. Plus, you get a few new features.
