Earlier this month, Google renamed Find My Device to Find Hub, as it is no longer a platform to find just devices but also people. Well, the brand is now rolling out the change to its Android app.
Google has released an update to the Find My Device app for Android. Carrying version 3.1.337-2, it changes the app’s name to Find Hub. Plus, it also offers a few user interface (UI) changes.
As spotted by Android Authority, the People tab is no longer marked as Beta, which means that it is now a stable feature.
Furthermore, Settings now offers two options: Find Hub and Google Location Sharing. The former takes you to the Find My Device settings in Google Services in device settings. The latter takes you to the Google Location Sharing settings in Google Services in device settings.
In the near future, Google is planning to upgrade Find Hub with support for satellite connectivity and ultra-wideband (UWB), which will make the service even more useful and help people in a better way to find their friends and family, and devices.
