There have already been many rumors and reports about Samsung's planned launch festivities for the Galaxy S26 series. Earlier reports had already highlighted that the event won't take place in January as it has done in the past.
We're now looking at a potential February launch, and another hint to back up that assumption has now dropped on Samsung's official forums.
A moderator on Samsung's official forums has highlighted that the Galaxy S26 series will be unpacked at an event in February. While a date was not mentioned in the post, several rumors have pointed to February 25, 2026, as the likely date for Samsung's first Unpacked event of the year.
Samsung hasn't confirmed anything about the event at this point in time. However, the company is expected to hold the event in San Francisco, California. It will unveil the Galaxy S26 series there, with the same three models we've come to expect, as the Galaxy S26 Edge has been taken off the schedule for now.
As far as the release is concerned, reports suggest that the devices may hit the market by March 5. Earlier reports had highlighted March 13 as the likely date, but given that would fall on a Friday, Samsung is reportedly trying to not launch it on that date as Friday the 13th is considered to be unlucky in Western markets.
