I was excited for what the future would bring when Samsung unveiled its first Galaxy Fold back in 2019 but I wasn't completely sold on the form factor. It's more than enough to sort notifications, reply to messages, stay on top of my calendar, control music or other features without ever having to unfold the phone. Less distraction, more action.

The fact that you can prop the device open halfway only adds to its versatility. I can make video calls with the phone placed perfectly stable on a flat surface, capture blur-free time lapses or use the primary cameras to take photos when traveling, no need to carry a separate stand or tripod. It's hard going back to a conventional bar-style phone once you've become used to this.
