In 2023, Samsung launched the Galaxy Enhance-X app for editing and remastering images using AI. Well, the brand is now rolling out an update to it that adds new features on devices with Android 16-based One UI 8.0.
The latest update to the Galaxy Enhance-X app changes its version to 16.0.01.8 and brings two new features: Focus Shift and Crop & Upscale.
According to Samsung, with Focus Shift, you can “Tap anywhere on your image to bring your subject into sharp focus – Enhance-X will intelligently blur everything else. It’s perfect for portraits, product shots, or turning everyday photos into striking visuals with depth.” As for Crop & Upscale, Samsung says that you can “Enjoy a powerful AI-enhanced zoom experience built into the app allowing you to improve photos up to 5x the resolution.”
Both features are currently available only for devices running Android 16-based One UI 8.0, which means that only Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and Galaxy S25 series users can enjoy it at the moment. As Samsung rolls out One UI 8 to other devices, they should also gain access to these features.
