Since last week, we have been seeing a ton of leaks about Samsung’s Galaxy A17 5G, revealing its design, specifications, and price. Before the brand made the phone official, a few retailers, especially those in Europe, even listed the device on their website, complete with official posters, and started selling it.
Well, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy A17 5G. The company didn’t make much noise about it. Instead, the tech giant silently listed the phone on its website for Ireland. Currently, that’s the only country where the phone is available. So, how much does it cost and what does it offer? Well, let’s take a look.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy A17 5G at €239. The listing doesn’t say how much RAM and storage you get for that price. It also doesn’t show other configurations to select from. The phone comes in three colors – Black, Blue, and Gray. The device is currently on pre-order and the company doesn’t say when it will start shopping the product. It also doesn’t list specifications but we have a pretty good idea about it.
According to leaked official posters and retailer listings, the Galaxy A17 5G has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the processing hardware, you get Exynos 1330 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
On the imaging front, there's a triple camera setup at the rear featuring a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, and a 13MP selfie camera. The phone has IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and NFC.
