Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for Galaxy smartphones and tablets brought Now Bar, a feature that can show the status of live activities, such as a timer and sports score, at the top of the screen, no matter what you are doing on the phone, which is very convenient. Well, Samsung has now upgraded the sports score widget with the ability to show win probability.
On Saturday, Galaxy smartphone owners started reporting (1, 2) that the sports score live notification has started showing win probability, as you can see in the image below (via SammyGuru). The widget fetches the win prediction data from Google. It shows the win prediction till the match starts. After that, the widget replaces it with the live score.
People across the US and the UK have been seeing the win prediction feature. However, it doesn’t seem to work with every match. So, it looks like the brand has some work to do. At the moment, there’s no information about when Samsung will expand this feature to other regions.
The new feature is appearing without any update to any of the applications. So, it looks like Samsung is offering it as a server-side change. This feature should be live on devices with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and Android 16-based One UI 8.0.
