Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M56 in India as a new value phone wrapped in a modern shell. It's an appealing device for INR 27,999 ($330), but it's probably not what most people call “epic.” Samsung's latest 3D CGI ad for the Galaxy M56, however, is.
The company appears to have gone all-in to advertise the Galaxy M56 to prospective buyers in India. Its latest 3D animation promoting the Galaxy M56 looks and sounds like an epic scene from a Sci-Fi animated movie or video game. And if you are a fan of science fiction and detailed CGI, this ad will probably glue you to the screen for a full minute, regardless of whether or not you have any plans to buy the M56.
It's almost like Samsung went too far for a $330 phone, and the ad outshines the product it's promoting. Don't get us wrong, the Galaxy M56 looks decent enough for the price, but the 3D CDI ad is bonkers and probably cost Samsung a small fortune to create. Check it out below.
Samsung's new Galaxy M56 is somewhat similar in specs to the Galaxy A55. At least it has the same Exynos 1480 chip. It also features a Super AMOLED+ 120Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, and One UI 7.
How is it as cheap as it is? It lacks some features you will find on pricier Galaxy A models, such as an IP rating for dust and water resistance, an aluminum frame (it's plastic), AI features, and even NFC.
The Galaxy M56 is not much cheaper than a Galaxy A55 from 2024, the latter of which is arguably superior in several ways. However, it has a new design and ships with Android 15 while offering support for up to six OS upgrades rather than four.
But no matter how you feel about the Galaxy M56, this new CGI ad is pretty wild and shows that Samsung is serious about promoting its M series in India. We're eager to see more.
