Through the Samsung Knox Security Platform, Galaxy devices offer robust privacy and security features that often improve when new OS versions roll out. For example, One UI 7 added Identity Check and Security Delay – two features that are becoming more widespread as the update reaches more Galaxy devices.
However, Samsung's efforts to improve security can only reach their full potential if smartphone users actively participate. So, in an effort to raise awareness of the Knox Platform's capabilities, Samsung UK embarked on a mission to send public safety security message alerts to more than 40 million Samsung Account holders.
In supporting the UK Home Office's ongoing work to prevent mobile phone thefts, Samsung announced today that it will encourage Galaxy phone users nationwide to enable the latest security features in One UI. These features include:
Samsung will reach more than 40 million smartphone users through the Samsung Members platform and social media channels, marketing campaigns at Piccadilly Lights, OOH adverts in tube and train stations in central London, along with BVOD, OLV, and CTV channels.
