Samsung launched its first Mini LED TVs without a quantum dot (QD) layer in early 2026. They were announced at CES 2026 and are positioned below the company's Neo QLED TV lineup in terms of pricing. The 2026 Mini LED TV lineup includes two models: M70H and M80H. The M80H is the pricier of the two, and here is everything you need to know about it.
The M80H Mini LED TV comes in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch sizes, and all variants use a 4K VA LCD panel with a full-array Mini LED backlighting system. It has a 144Hz variable refresh rate and supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible. The TV has auto low-latency mode (ALLM) as well.

The TV also supports HDR10+ but lacks support for HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10+ Gaming, and HDR10+ Advanced, all of which are supported on Samsung's higher-end TVs in Neo QLED, The Frame, OLED, and Micro RGB series.
The M80H has a basic Metal Stream design and a Metal Feet stand but is compatible with Samsung's Full Motion Slim Wall Mount. It comes with a basic remote (Bluetooth Simple Remote: TM2280A) instead of a SolarCell Remote.
The M80H has a 2-channel 20W RMS speaker system and supports Q-Symphony, which outputs audio via a compatible soundbar or speaker and the TV simultaneously. Active Voice Amplifier, Adaptive Sound+, and Object Tracking Sound Lite.

Unfortunately, the TV does not support Dolby Atmos and Eclipsa Audio, and it eveen lacks an optical audio output port.
Samsung has equipped the M80H TV with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Smart View for wireless connectivity. The TV is compatible with SlimFit Cam.

It has three HDMI 2.1 ports with support for up to 4K 144Hz content. There is also an Ethernet port, two USB Type-A ports, and an RF port (for over-the-air TV signals and cable TV). It does not have an optical audio out port, which is a bummer. You will have to use an HDMI port for connecting to soundbars or external speaker systems.
It can be controlled using SmartThings and Google Home, and it has a built-in SmartThings Hub. However, you need to add an optional SmartThings Hub USB dongle to control Matter and Zigbee devices using the TV.

Powered by the NQ4 AI Gen 2 Processor, the M80H runs the One UI Tizen software based on the Tizen 10 operating system. Samsung will offer software updates to the TV for up to seven years since the TV's launch. The TV features Art Store, Daily+, Daily Board, Karaoke Mic, Now Brief, Philips Hue Sync, Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus, and SmartThings.
The TV has Alexa and Bixby and supports Google Assistant.
The processor uses a powerful NPU to run AI algorithms that power features like 4K AI Upscaling, AI Customization Mode, AI Sound Controller, Auto HDR Remastering, Color Booster Pro, Generative Wallpaper, Live Translate, and Real Depth Enhancer.
With Gaming Hub, you can stream games from the cloud via Amazon Luna, Microsoft Xbox Cloud, and Nvidia GeForce Now. Gaming-focused features like AI Auto Game Mode, AI Gaming Optimizer, Game Bar, Mini Map Zoom, and Super Ultra Wide Game View enhance the gaming experience.
