Samsung’s new phones feature Google’s Gemini AI assistant, but a report suggested Samsung might invest in Perplexity to bring it to its phones and tablets starting with the Galaxy S26 series. Now, Samsung itself has confirmed that Gemini won’t be the only AI assistant on the Galaxy S26.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Won-Joon Choi, the president of Samsung's smartphone division, said that it wants to bring more AI features to its Galaxy phones in the future. Moreover, they revealed that Gemini won't be the only AI assistant that will be integrated into the Galaxy S26 series. Apparently, the South Korean firm has built an AI framework, and multiple AI agents and AI assistants can work with that framework.

As long as the AI agents are competitive and offer a good user experience, Samsung is open to integrating more AI agents and assistants into its phones. Choi also confirmed that Samsung is talking to multiple vendors for the Galaxy S26 series. They also teased that more information will be revealed near the launch of the Galaxy S26 series.

During the interview, the Samsung executive also said that the company is confident about its foldable smartphone technology and that the entry of another global technology company (hinting at Apple) into the market is great for consumers.

Speaking about the Exynos 2500 chip in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Choi said that Samsung looks at multiple factors, including performance and power consumption of a chip, before using it. They also said the company will look at all the options, including the Exynos 2600, for the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
