Samsung‘s next flagship chipset for mobile devices is expected to be the Exynos 2600, which it may use for the Galaxy S26 series in some regions. The SoC is said to be made on Samsung Foundry‘s 2nm fabrication process. Considering that the brand may announce it before the launch of its next lineup of non-foldable phones, and other chipset makers, including Apple, MediaTek, and Qualcomm, sticking to TSMC's 3nm fabrication process for their next flagship SoC, the Exynos 2600 may be the first 2nm chip on the market. Well, that's no more a speculation.

Samsung has announced that the Exynos 2600 will be the first chipset made on Samsung Foundry's 2nm GAA fabrication process (via Bryan Ma, Technology Industry Analyst, IDC). It means that the considering the facts stated above, it will be the first 2nm chip on the marker period, putting the South Korean tech giant a big step ahead of Apple, MediaTek, and Qualcomm. The news likely comes from the Samsung's earning call for Q2 2025 that was held earlier today, which revealed that Samsung's smartphone business shines amid company's chip struggles.

Samsung's struggles in the semiconductor market may also come to an end soon, as Exynos 2600 being the first 2nm chip and the company signing a massive $16.5 billion deal with Tesla for 2nm chips should attract more customers and shoot up its share price. With the Galaxy Z Fold 7 being a hit and the Galaxy S26 expected to bring significant improvements, 2025-2026 is looking good for Samsung.

As for he Exynos 2600, previous leaks and rumours reveal that it has a 10-core CPU, consisting of one prime core, three big cores, and six small cores, and the Eclipse 960 GPU, which is 15% more powerful than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite’s Adreno 830 GPU.
