In 2023, owners of Samsung smartphones with AMOLED displays in India started reporting that on the displays of their devices, green and pink lines appeared, which wouldn’t go away, an issue that still plagues a small number of Samsung devices. When the first complaints arrived, the South Korean tech giant started a program in the country to replace the screens of the affected devices for free.
Initially, Samsung said that it would continue the program till 30 September 2023. It then extended the offer till 31 December 2024, and in April this year, the brand said that it would let people get the screens replaced till 30 September 2025. Well, if you are one of them, this is a reminder for you: You still have three and a half months to get your device’s screen replaced without paying for it.
If you have a Samsung smartphone whose screen has permanent green and pink lines, you have till September 2025 to get it replaced for free. To take advantage of the program, visit a Samsung service centre and report the issue. While they will offer the replacement screen for free, they will charge you a small fee for the replacement.
If you miss the deadline, you may have to pay thousands of rupees to get the screen replaced. So, hurry up while it lasts. Although the issue is found only on a small number of devices nowadays, it drags Samsung's image through the mud. We hope that the brand finds the solution to the problem and ends the saga once and for all.
