Samsung may have taken its sweet time in launching the One UI 7 update for eligible devices but at least it's now rolling it out fairly quickly. It's been a few days since the One UI 7 Android 15 update was released for the Galaxy S23 series in almost every market across the globe.
The One UI 7 experience will be slightly different based on the device you're using, as not every new feature that was introduced with this version of One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 is going to trickle down. We've made a detailed video showcasing everything you need to know about One UI 7 on the Galaxy S23.
There are no major differences in the visual changes that Samsung has made with One UI 7. You still get the separate notification and quick panels, personalization options, widgets, and more. The Now Bar is present on the device but it works a bit differently on the Galaxy S23 Ultra than it does on the Galaxy S25 series. The video expands more on precisely how the experience differs across the two devices.
Some Galaxy AI features that this One UI version brought to the Galaxy S25 series haven't trickled down to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, this includes Now Brief, which Samsung appears to be keeping exclusive to its 2025 flagship lineup for now.
Some features have been sent over, including Read highlights aloud in Browsing Assist, but Audio Eraser, a very useful feature that could have been provided on the Galaxy S23 series with One UI 7 is missing as well.
