Samsung hasn't upgraded the battery capacity of its Ultra phones for six years now. And if you were hoping to see a bigger battery on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, you would be in for a huge disappointment. The upcoming phone is using the same battery capacity as its predecessor's. However, there could be an upgrade to the other aspect of the battery.

It was just revealed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, and it will disappoint a lot of Samsung fans. Extremely reliable tipster @UniverseIce now speculates that the South Korean firm may have increased the energy density of its next Ultra phone and used that advantage to make a smaller-sized 5,000mAh battery. That will allow the phone to be thinner and lighter.
The tipster also speculates that Samsung will likely offer significantly improved battery charging speeds by using a new technology that offers reduced temperatures during charging. If this turns out to be true, Samsung could offer at least 65W fast charging in its next Ultra phone.
A thinner and lighter phone with the same battery capacity but significantly faster charging speeds could still entice a lot of smartphone users. The Galaxy S25 Ultra charges up to 70% in 30 minutes and up to 100% under 60 minutes. So, there is a possibility of the Galaxy S26 Ultra getting fully charged around 40-45 minutes if it has 65W fast charging.
