Samsung, when it opens the beta program for a new version of One UI for a Galaxy smartphone, the brand usually releases four to five beta builds before closing the program and starting the rollout of its stable version. However, things are taking a different turn with the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta program for the Galaxy S25 series. The company has now released the ninth beta build of the new software for these phones.
Samsung seems to be rolling out the ninth beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series in all the eligible regions: India, South Korea, the UK, and the US. The update for India is 865.29MB in size and carries firmware version S93xBXXU9ZZD5 (via Tarun Vats). It brings nine changes as well as the April 2026 security patch, which fixes 47 security vulnerabilities. You can check out the official changelog below.
To get the latest update, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung has never released this many beta builds of a new software for a Galaxy smartphone before, making One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series a notable exception. Hopefully, this will be the final beta release before the company closes the program and begins rolling out the stable version of the new software.
