When Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, many self-declared analysts predicted it to be a sales disaster, saying that most people want a phone with a bigger battery rather than a thinner design. However, the Galaxy S25 Edge has reportedly performed surprisingly well, defying expectations of most people.
Tipster @UniverseIce recently posted an image that lists sales information of all the models in the Galaxy S25 lineup. If the information is accurate, Samsung appears to have managed to sell 650,000 units of the Galaxy S25 Edge within just one month (June 2025) of the phone's launch in May.
That is a lot higher than what most would have expected. No wonder, the South Korean firm is reportedly launching the Galaxy S26 Edge to succeed the Galaxy S25+ next year.
The company also sold 6.07 million units of the Galaxy S25, 3.85 million units of the Galaxy S25+, and 9.64 million units of the Galaxy S25 Ultra in five months since their launch. That is an 8.7% improvement compared to the Galaxy S24 series within the same period. Overall, Samsung managed to sell over 22 million units of Galaxy S25 series phones, a 12% uptick compared to the Galaxy S24 series.

Next year, Samsung is rumored to bring a massive change to the Galaxy S series. Usually, it launches three Galaxy S models—base, Plus, and Ultra—at the start of each year. However, the Galaxy S26 series reportedly consists of the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 Edge is rumored to sport a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 4,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to feature a 200MP primary camera with an F1.9 aperture and a 5,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging. The Galaxy S26 Pro could have a 4,300mAh battery.
The Pro and Edge models could use the 2nm Exynos 2600 chip, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra could exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip.
