Earlier this month, Samsung launched the much-awaited Galaxy S25 Edge, the thinnest smartphone in the Galaxy S25 series, in many regions around the world. That included its home country, South Korea, where it started taking pre-orders for the phone immediately.
Now, almost two weeks later, the brand has made the Galaxy S25 Edge available to purchase in South Korea. During the pre-order phase, which ended yesterday, the phone received a lot of attention from young people, with more than half of the pre-orders coming from them.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy S25 Edge in South Korea in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB. The brand has priced the former at KRW 1,496,000 (approximately USD 1,092) and KRW 1,639,000 (approximately USD 1,196). Both storage variants are available in three colour options: Titanium Ice Blue, Titanium Jet Black, and Titanium Silver. You can get them from Samsung's official online store and authorised offline stores.
Commenting on the commencement of sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge in South Korea, the Acting President and CEO of Samsung Electronics’ DX Division, Tae-Moon, said: “The Galaxy S25 Edge is the result of our uncompromising technological prowess in both design and performance. I hope you experience for yourself the value and possibilities of a new mobile experience brought to you by this ultra-slim smartphone.”
The Galaxy S25 Edge is one of the thinnest flagship smartphones, having a waistline of just 5.8mm. Despite that, it doesn’t compromise on hardware. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. The phone uses Qualcomm's flagship chipset for mobile devices, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, mated to 12GB RAM, and runs on Android 15-based One UI 7.0.
At the rear, the S25 Edge has a 200MP primary with OIS and dual-pixel phase-detection autofocus, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with dual-pixel PDAF. At the front, it offers a 12MP camera, once again, with dual-pixel PDAF. The phone has a 3,900mAh battery that supports up to 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. Other features include stereo speakers, an IP68 rating, and support for ultra-wideband (UWB).
