Yesterday, we reported that Samsung has started rolling out a software update to the carrier-locked and factory-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra, for the United States that offers the May 2025 security patch.
Now, the company has released the update in Asian countries, including India, and Europe. It carries firmware version S92xBXXS6BYE3. The May 2025 security patch fixes many security issues, which you can check out here, making the device safer.
To get the latest security update, on your Galaxy S24, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install, or on our website, head to the firmware section, download the appropriate update, and install it manually using the Odin software on a Windows PC.
We expect Samsung to release the May 2025 security patch to the remaining variants of the Galaxy S24 and in other regions in the next few days. Speaking of software updates, Samsung is working on releasing Android 16-based One UI 8.0 as soon as possible.
