While Samsung released the One UI 7 update for several low-end phones, the Galaxy A33 mysteriously didn't get it alongside the Galaxy A53. And many Galaxy A33 users were wondering about why the update was delayed. Now, it seems that the Galaxy A33 has started getting the much-awaited One UI 7.0 update.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now rolling out to the Galaxy A33 in Latin American countries (starting with Bolivia). It comes bearing firmware version A336MUBUDFYE3 and has a download size of around 3.5GB. The update also includes the May 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure than earlier.
If you have a Galaxy A33 and live in Latin America, you should start checking your phone periodically for the One UI 7.0 update. To do that, you much head over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button to install the update. The phone will restart after a few minutes after the installation procedure is completed, and you can then start using One UI 7.0.
The update brings a brand-new UI design, smoother and more playful animations, new app icons, a more customizable Quick Panel, new widgets with more personalization options, Now Bar, a new battery icon in the status bar, a new battery charging animation, improved stock apps, and more battery health protection features.
The Galaxy A33 was launched in 2022 with Android 12 onboard. Samsung released the Android 13 update for the phone in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. Now, the phone has received the Android 15 update. It will get one more major Android OS update before the end of this year.
