Samsung will soon launch new affordable wireless earbuds called Galaxy Buds Core. There's plenty of evidence for their existence as support pages for the earbuds, bearing model number SM-R410, have gone live on multiple Samsung websites.
These appear to be a replacement for the Galaxy Buds FE which were also the affordable priced option in the lineup. A product listing photo for the Galaxy Buds Core has now appeared on X, revealing that it won't have the same premium design as the other options in the lineup.
Samsung revamped the design for its earbuds with the Galaxy Buds 3 lineup, opting for a stem-like design that's sleek and modern. On the other hand, this image shows that the Galaxy Buds 3 has a rather familiar design that we've seen on wireless earbuds from Samsung in the past.
One might give Samsung a pass for not delivering a design refresh for its affordable earbuds, but many would have expected it to keep up with the trend and shake things up a bit in this price segment as well.
The company has used the Core branding for its affordable products in the past, including smartphones, so it's unsurprising that Samsung is now bringing its earbuds under the same branding.
So what becomes of the Galaxy Buds FE? There's some speculation that Samsung might launch a Galaxy Buds 3 FE in the future and they may get the stem-like design refresh, which may explain why the company felt it was necessary to go with the Core branding for these earbuds.
