Samsung held a conference call for analysts after reporting its quarterly earnings for Q1 2025 earlier today. It reported a 21.7% rise in net profit for the quarter, raking in $5.75 billion, aided by strong sales of the Galaxy S25 series and other high value products.
It's common for Samsung to provide some hints about upcoming products during its earnings call. The company revealed that there's an AI-focused Galaxy Tab S11 lineup in the works in addition to a redesigned Galaxy Watch.
Samsung releases a new flagship tablet lineup every year so it's not surprising that one will be coming in 2025 as well. It's also not surprising that there's going to be focus on AI for the tablet, considering that the company has gone all in on Galaxy AI across its flagship devices.
It further referenced “a new Galaxy Watch with an innovative design and enhanced health related features,” during the conference call. Samsung also said that it intends to focus on AI and health for its new wearables.
Indications have already emerged that Samsung has a Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic in the pipeline. There's no information as to what this redesign could entail but it must be significant enough for Samsung to highlight it during the conference call.
Samsung also shed light on its mobile strategy going forward, revealing that it aims to sustain flagship-centric sales with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge and expanding its Awesome Intelligence features on the Galaxy A series. It will also focus on new product categories like XR to explore growth opportunities.
